Cari’s early years were spent on the compound of a mission hospital where her father was the Physical Therapist. She would go up to the Children’s Ward and play with the kids, many of whom were burned. As a result of that experience, Cari always knew she wanted to be a nurse. She wanted to make a difference in the lives of others.

After receiving her bachelor's degree in Nursing from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri, Cari worked for years as a clinical nurse. She enjoyed teaching and mentoring patients, their families, and members of the healthcare team. 

Cari’s passion for helping others grow and develop led her to attend Dallas Theological Seminary, where she received her degree in Cross-cultural Ministries. By incorporating her experiences of international living, nursing, and ministry, she has the ability to strategically communicate and empower diverse teams to thrive in ever-changing environments.

After transitioning into a full-time role as a Clinical Learning Specialist, Cari continued to grow and develop, eventually becoming board certified in Nursing Professional Development. She has since not only developed a training curriculum for clinical projects, she has done so for diverse non-clinical projects such as a new software roll-out. Cari enjoys partnering with management teams to strengthen overall effectiveness to increase organizational resiliency and retention through Learning and Development. 

Cari lives in Texas with her husband of 37 years and enjoys traveling and playing with her grandchildren.
